Redskins’ QB Dwayne Haskins Misses Final Snap Of First Victory To Selfie With Fan
Dwayne Haskins, a former lottery draft pick and current backup quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers, was reportedly injured by his wife during a domestic violence incident that occurred on July 3.
Haskins’s wife was arrested and subsequently charged with felony battery and domestic violence. Supposedly, his wife punched Haskins in the face, cutting open his lip and dislodging one of his teeth. The injury was substantial enough to require dental work.
Haskins, though, has refuted this claim. “I appreciate the concern … However I have all of my teeth. Don’t believe everything you read. Peace,” he wrote on an Instagram story.

It is reported that police were called to a hotel in Las Vegas on July 3 that Haskins, his wife and other close friends were staying at. The trip was supposed to celebrate a renewal of the couple’s vows. Haskins told police he did not recall being hit, however, he did remember an altercation with his spouse. Hotel security informed police that Haskins had told them he was hit, which led to the subsequent arrest of his wife. “She hit me and cut my lip open,” he reportedly told hotel security.
The Steelers said that they were aware of the ongoing incident but were unwilling to provide further comment on the matter.
His wife has an arranged court date of August 3.
