Drew Brees Returns Against The Kansas City Chiefs

The New Orleans Saints will be getting their franchise quarterback back in time for their pivotal game versus the Kansas City Cheifs.

Saints quarterback Drew Brees will be starting on Sunday’s game. Brees has missed the last four games because he suffered a punctured lung and fractured ribs on November 15.

The Saints turned to 30-year-old Taysom Hill as their starter while the 41-year-old quarterback was out with injury. Hill was able to hold down the fort for four games as their starter. In those four games, the 30-year-old was able to win three games with just one loss. In four games, he threw for 834 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions. Not only was Hill effective in passing but had success in the rushing department. Hill rushed for 209 yards and had four rushing touchdowns to his game. However, a concern for the team was his six fumbles.

Sunday’s game with the Chiefs will be an uphill battle as Patrick Mahomes has led Kansas City to 12 wins and just one loss this season. By naming Brees as their starter, they will be using the best quarterback they have. Before his injury, Brees had thrown 2,196 yards, 18 touchdowns and three interceptions. Not only that, but he had an impressive completion of 73.5%. Although the 41-year-old is cleared to play he has not practiced with the team yet.
