Dallas Mavericks guard Deron Williams scored a 3-pointer at the buzzer during the second overtime to lead his team to a home win over the Sacramento Kings in Dallas on Tuesday night. The Mavericks won 117-116 to secure their 22nd consecutive home victory over the Kings.
Williams scored after receiving an inbound pass from Devin Harris with 2.3 seconds left and pump faking to drive past Sacramento defender Rudy Gay in the left corner. Dallas scored their last eight points after falling behind 116-109 with 1:20 left in the second overtime.
DeMarcus Cousins had 35 points for his third straight 30-point game for the Kings, including a layup just before the buzzer to tie the score at 98 at the end of regulation. Former Mavericks guard Rajon Rondo was out due to back spasms in his first visit to Dallas since a bitter split following an unfortunate half-season with the team.
