Ambrose upset Miz, a six-time holder of that title, to capture his second career intercontinental championship. It also marked Ambrose’s fourth title victory since debuting in the WWE in November 2012.

The Miz opened his title reign by defeating Dolph Ziggler on “SmackDown Live” on Nov. 2015.

The Miz is also one of a select group to become a “grand slam” champion, having won the WWE world championship, the Intercontinental championship, the United States championship and one of the WWE tag team championships.

Ambrose also sent a message after his title win, saying that if you make him mad, he will destroy you and take your title:
