Dana White Compares Conor McGregor To Top World Athletes

Bleacher Report received an exclusive clip from Notorious: A Conor McGregor Documentary. The clip has some fairly interesting tidbits about the new Irish phenom known as Conor McGregor: known for his trash talking, the Irish star has become a mainstream sensation for the UFC.

This is something UFC President Dana White is well aware of, comparing McGregor to some of the greatest athletes of all time: “Conor’s ability to visualize something and make it happen is right up there with any of the top world champions I have ever met. And a lot of people mistake what Conor says for talking smack. Conor says, “Understand me here what I’m telling you, I am not talking smack, I respect everyone who steps into the cage. But I’m going to tell you exactly what I’m going to do and exactly the way its going to happen… People who succeed have the mentality that Conor McGregor has.”

Those are strong words for an athlete who has only had four fights in the UFC, but as most remember he called the first round knockout against Dustin Poirier before the Sept. 27 fight: and proceeded to call himself “Mystic Mac” after doing it. Either way, lets hope McGregor can back up his talk on Jan. 18, when he fights Dennis Siver at the TD Bank Garden in Boston.
