In the 1970s, Tony PerezPete Rose, Joe Morgan and Johnny Bench led “The Big Red Machine” to back-to-back championships. Then, in 1990, Barry Larkin and Paul O’Neill led the Reds to a fifth World Series Championship. Nine Hall of Famers played more games with the Reds than with any other team.

Since 2003, the Reds have taken the field at Great American Ball Park. Located on the Ohio River, the stadium offers scenic views along with the highest level of professional baseball. It features the sixth-largest scoreboard in Major League Baseball, boasts smokestacks that emit flames and launch fireworks and is filled to the brim with nods to Reds teams of the past.

Currently, the Reds are led by longtime first baseman and former MVP winner Joey Votto along with new pickup Yasiel Puig and third baseman Eugenio Suarez, who’s hit 10 homers this season. Luis Castillo is anchoring down the rotation and finds himself in the running for the NL Cy Young Award. Meanwhile, lefty Amir Garrett has an earned run average of just 1.84.

Currently, the Reds are out in Oakland taking on the Athletics. The A’s are fighting for first place in the AL West and bringing all that they can. This should make for an interesting series. Tickets for the three games in the Bay Area start at just $8.

After that, the Reds will head across the Bay to San Francisco to play against the Giants. From May 10 to May 12, they’ll hope to beat out the eight-time World Series Champs. Tickets for that series range from $11 to $175.
