Chiefs’ Superfan Xaviar Michael Babudar Ordered To Pay $10.8 Million To Former Bank Teller For Assault

This infamous Chiefs fan will go down in history – for all the wrong reasons.

A Tulsa County judge ordered Chiefs superfan Xaviar Michael Babudar, 29, otherwise known as “ChiefsAHolic,” to pay $10.8 million to a teller at a Bixby, Oklahoma credit union.

Former bank teller Payton Garcia was allegedly assaulted with a gun during a robbery of the bank that took place in December 2022. Tulsa County District Judge Tracy L. Priddy concluded that Babudar must pay Garcia $3.6 million in injuries caused by the alleged assault and $7.2 million in punitive damages.

Babudar admitted back in February to being involved in multiple robberies of banks and credit unions in not just Oklahoma but several other states between 2022 and 2023. He admitted to laundering the stolen money through gambling websites and casinos, according to federal prosecutors. His official sentencing is set for July 10, and he remains imprisoned until that date.

Babudar also has to settle a plea agreement that forces the superfan of the Super Bowl-winning Chiefs to pay an additional $532,675 at minimum to cover restitution costs. The FBI also uncovered a stolen autographed painting of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, which Babudar owns.

Before his arrest, “ChiefsAHolic” was known for attending many Chiefs games dressed as a wolf. His antics caught fire on social media during the match, and his fame took off from there.

In the ESPN documentary Where’s Wolf: The Search for ChiefsAHolic, Babudar expressed regret for his crimes. His attorney, Matthew Merryman, read statements by Babudar, including one that proclaimed that he would always be a team fan.

“I believe that I will always be part of Chiefs Kingdom,” Babudar wrote. I am no better or worse than any other fan. But I know there will always be room in the kingdom for me. We are a family, and you don’t turn your back on family during hard times.”
