Chicago Bears To Retain Coach Matt Nagy & GM Ryan Pace

After much uncertainty, the Chicago Bears will retain head coach Matt Nagy and general manager Ryan Pace.

There was speculation about the fates of both Nagy and Pace after the Bears lost eight of their last 11 games in the season. Despite the losses, the Bears were able to qualify for the playoffs as a wild card team. Unfortunately, Chicago fell to the New Orleans Saints and was eliminated.

Although the team had a disappointing end to the season, Bears chairman George McCaskey praised Nagy but announced that neither Nagy nor Pace will receive contract extensions. Nagy has two years left on his contract, while Pace will expire after the 2021 season.

The head coach previously won the NFL Coach of The Year award in 2018. Additionally, he had guided the Bears to two playoff berths in the last three years while the general manager has completed his sixth year with the team.
