C.J. McCollum And Trail Blazers Agree To Four-Year Contract Extension

Portland Guard C.J. McCollum will be staying in Rip City for at least another five years. The Portland Trail Blazers resigned McCollum to a four-year $106 million deal that begins the 2017-2018 season. McCollum has been with the Trail Blazers his entire three-year career in the NBA and was the NBA’s Most Improved Player this year after a breakout  season.

Guard Damian Lillard tweeted his feeling towards keeping the backcourt together.

McCollum was second on the team, to Lillard, in scoring. McCollum averaged 20.8 points and 4.3 assists per game. Lillard averaged 25.1 points and 6.8 assists per game. McCollum played and started in 80 games last season and averaged 34.8 minutes per game.
