Buffalo Bills 2024-2025 Season Outlook: Schedule & Ticket Deals

Another year of postseason heartbreak loomed over Bills Mafia last season as kicker Tyler Bass shanked a game-tying field goal from 44 yards out to preserve a 27-24 Chiefs victory in Orchard Park. Before the infamous kick, the Bills fired former offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey after ten games, and Buffalo sat with a 6-6 record heading into week 13’s bye week. The Bills won the remaining games on their schedule to win the AFC East – they defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 31-17 in the wildcard before losing in the Divisional Round to the eventual Super Bowl champions.

Stefon Diggs was traded to the Houston Texans on April 3, signaling the Bills intend to retool their roster. Star cornerback Tre’Davious White was released on March 13, signing with the Rams almost two weeks later. Wide receiver Gabe Davis joined the Jacksonville Jaguars since the Bills didn’t renew his contract. Other losses include safeties Jordan Poyer and Micah Hyde, Jordan Phillips and Latavius Murray. Witnessing a depleted receiving core, Buffalo added Curtis Samuel, Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Chase Claypool as bridge players – they also provide Josh Allen with reliable hands in the passing attack. Dion Jones and Deshawn Williams were acquired to boost the pass rush.

Buffalo picked up Florida State’s Keon Coleman early in round two to add to the receiving room. Utah’s Cole Bishop was selected later in the round in hopes that he could become a starting safety. The rest of 2024’s draft saw Buffalo stock up on depth in positions of need.

With a major roster retool, Allen and co. will attempt to make the playoffs for a sixth consecutive season.

Aside from the division, outside factors such as the Texans, Chiefs, and Ravens will impact Buffalo’s record.

2024-2025 sees the Bills as a “contender” because of Allen, an MVP-caliber player. Time will tell if the roster revamp will be a success, as key players, including Allen, are also getting there in age. That alone could be the biggest setback to the Bills’ season, as Von Miller and Matt Milano are needed to provide defensive production.
