The Brazil Men’s National Football Team are on their way to hopefully qualify for the 2018 World Cup which will be held in Russia. After losing to Chile last week in a 2-0 match, Brazil achieved their first points yesterday in defeating Venezuela in a 3-1 match for South American qualifying matches.
Without team captain Neymar, who is serving a four-match suspension from a Copa America mishap, Brazil came out running hard. Two goals came from forward Willan who scored 40 seconds into the game and in the 42nd minute. Venezuela put a goal away in the 64th minute when Christian Santos scored but nine minutes later, Brazilian striker Ricardo Oliveira reassured Brazil’s lead for the rest of the match until full time was called.
This was a big win for the Brazilian national team for their next match will be against the Argentina national team next month, who hope to have superstar forward Lionel Messi back from injury after missing two matches.
