The Boston Red Sox will host Toronto Blue Jays on Tuesday night, and here is what you need to know.

This is the opener of a three-game series. The Red Sox (98-46, .681) have won five of their eight games this month, and last beat the Houston Astros 6-5 on Sunday. The Blue Jays (65-78, .455) last beat the Cleveland Indians 6-2 on Sunday.

Chris Sale (12-4, 1.79 ERA) is set to start for Boston. The lefty boasts 219 strikeouts this season and according to herosports.com, is third on his team in terms of innings pitched (146). Sale will face off against left-hander Ryan Borucki (3-4, 4.39 ERA), who has struck out 45 batters this season in 69 total innings of work.
