Bills RB LeSean McCoy’s Ex-Girlfriend Says She Believes Home Invasion Was Potential Setup

The scandal involving Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy and his former girlfriend continues, as the woman has now made a bold claim.

LeSean McCoy Accused Of Setting up girlfriend in Assault

According to ESPN, McCoy’s ex-girlfriend Delicia Cordon told police in Milton, Georgia she suspects the NFL star “set [her] up” for a home invasion Tuesday night. The incident saw Cordon have jewelry stolen from her and left her severely bruised.

After calling 911, Cordon reportedly told authorities she thought the assault had “something to do with my ex-boyfriend,” before adding she believed McCoy informed the assailant of the placement of the home’s cameras.

“I’m telling you, I’m telling you, that guy is [redacted],” she is heard saying in the 911 audio. “He must have known the camera system. LeSean must have told him. There’s no camera in the front.”

“We’re breaking up, and he wants all his jewelry back,” Cordon also said of McCoy.

The running back denied having played any role in the attack in an Instagram post the day after it occurred. Court documents showed McCoy had tried to evict Cordon in June from the Georgia residence they had been sharing since late 2016. After Cordon initially refused to leave, McCoy allegedly started moving out her possessions with help from friends and family, and his ex-girlfriend noticed this after seeing camera footage. According to ESPN, the couple had also been involved in a domestic argument twice: in April, and before that in July 2017. A hearing for the eviction case has been set for August 14.

Cordon’s lawyers claimed the home intruder hit her on the head with a weapon during the incident, which also saw her cousin sustain minor injuries.

The NFL and the Bills both said in statements that they are investigating the incident. If McCoy is charged with a crime, he could potentially face punishment from the league for violating its personal conduct policy.
