After a pre-game shoving match, it’s no surprise that the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals got a bit chippy during the game. And, after checking the tape, the Steelers believe the Bengals were not only playing with an edge, but playing dirty.
On one play, Bengals linebackers hit Pittsburgh quarterback Ben Roethlisberger dangerously low. While the defender reportedly apologized to Big Ben and claimed he was pushed, he can’t put any stock in that excuse.
“I don’t buy that he was pushed,” Roethlisberger told 93.7 The Fan, a CBS Sports Radio station. “He definitely was diving in low and going for my legs. It’s tough. I am just glad I didn’t get hurt.”

To make things even more interesting, the teams could meet again in the first round of the playoffs; the Bengals are in control of the AFC North while the Steelers are playing their best football of the year and seem poised for a Wild Card berth.
