The World Boxing Association announced that Arturo Gatti Jr. has died at 17.
Gatti Jr. was the son of Hall of Fame boxer Arturo Gatti, who died in 2009 when Jr. was 10 months old.

“The WBA and the boxing world mourn the passing of Arturo Gatti Jr.,” the statement said. “His journey was just beginning, yet his spirit will live on – now reunited with his legendary father among the stars.”
