Antonio Brown Shows Frustration With NFL Investigation Contradicting Monday’s “Retirement”

On his Instagram account Wednesday, NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown blasted the NFL calling for them to wrap up an investigation they were conducting into the sexual assault allegations levied against him by Brown’s former trainer late last year. In his post, Brown said, “I have been seeing the therapist you asked me to, I have worked on all aspects of my life this past year and have become a better man because of it. The fact that you refuse to provide a deadline and the reason for the fact you won’t resolve your investigations is completely unacceptable.” He continued by adding, “I demand you provide me clarity on this situation immediately if you really care about my wellbeing.”

While nothing that Brown has done in the past two years as made much sense to anyone it seems that he is even confusing himself since these demands come two days after Brown announced his retirement from football on his Twitter account. Whether or not the NFL complies with, or even responds to, these demands seem to be moot. I doubt that after all the run-ins he has had with law enforcement and the teams that he has worn his welcome out with almost impossibly fast, that a team would still take a chance on him. Never say never though. With the NFL’s track record of not caring what you’ve done as long as you produce, I wouldn’t say that it is impossible that someone as talented as Brown finds another job, but it looks like since he has no bridges left to burn in the league he is just lighting himself on fire.
