The two players, who are teammates on the French national team, have posted several photographs together on social media, thus hinting at a friendship.

On Tuesday, Griezmann, 25, tweeted a photo of him and Pogba, 23, riding on a golf buggy and captioned it: (in French) “End of the day, we return to the castle.”

The pair are currently on international duty together ahead of France’s 2018 World Cup Qualifier against Sweden in Paris on Friday.

“I always ask Paul Pogba about Manchester United,” Griezmann told Sky Sport News in Germany.

“I think they are a huge club with a really good infrastructure. I ask Paul about some of the players, and if they’re really that good, or if Jose Mourinho is really that good.

“You hear a lot of things [speculation] about Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain but right now I don’t see me moving to a new club. But it would be awesome to play alongside Paul one day.”

It has been reported that United are seeking to sign Griezmann, a former Real Sociedad star, next summer as manager Jose Mourinho looks to bolster his attacking options, and Pogba’s presence could potentially help lure him into the Premier League club. Pogba joined United this summer as a world-record price signing.

Griezmann has been in high demand following his strong, goalscoring performances at both Euro 2016 last summer and as a player in the Spanish league.
