Andrew Bogut Celebrates Before Steph Curry Even Shoots Three Pointer

During the first quarter of the Golden State Warriors’ 119-113 win over the Orlando Magic on Monday, Warriors’ center Andrew Bogut was able to tip a loose ball to point guard Steph Curry, who as you may have heard, has a pretty decent shot from three.

Bogut Celebrates Curry’s Shot Before Its Attempted

Before the shot was even attempted, the Australian big man decided to celebrate a full two seconds before Curry took his time and gathered himself before swishing home the triple.  By the time the shot went in Bogut, the team’s second leading rebounder with 7.3 boards per game was already at half court.

This isn’t the first time the Warriors have celebrated shots early, Curry went to high five Andre Iguodala while his shot was still in the air during the preseason and Iguodala was seen celebrating a Klay Thompson three pointer in December instead of going for the rebound.

The Warriors (56-6) were able to bounce back after being upset by the Los Angeles Lakers (13-51) 112-95 in one of the most shocking outcomes in NBA history.  The win on Monday gave the Warriors their 45th consecutive win on their home floor at Oracle Arena, breaking a tie with the Chicago Bulls of 1995-96.

Curry, the reigning MVP scored 41 points on 14-24 from the field (7-13 3pt), 13 rebounds, three assists, and four steals.  Bogut snagged 10 rebounds, four points, six assists, three steals, and two blocks.

Evan Fournier and Aaron Gordon led the Magic (27-35) with 20 points apiece, Gordon also grabbed 16 rebounds.

The Warriors will continue their pursuit of 73 wins (the ’95-96 Bulls won a record 72) when the host the Utah Jazz (29-33) tomorrow night at 10:30. The Magic will look to bounce back and make a push for the playoffs. They will continue their four game road trip tonight at the Lakers at 10::30.  Orlando is currently 5 games behind the Bulls for the eighth spot, with the Detroit Pistons and Washington Wizards between them.
