Aaron Hernandez Indicted On Witness Intimidation Charge

When it rains, it pours on Aaron Hernandez. After being found guilty for the murder of Odin Lloyd, the once-great Patriot tight end was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Now, he is still awaiting the trial for the murders of Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado – the 2012 slayings that started Hernandez down this Scarface-like path. Currently, the trial is unscheduled, but proceedings could begin as soon as the end of 2015.

However, a Boston grand jury has just indicted Hernandez on another charge: witness intimidation. Alexander Bradley, a former associate of the tight end, was shot and left for dead on the side of the road in Palm Beach County.

Allegedly Bradley, who was supposedly present during the drive by deaths of Abreu and Furtado, was shot after he made a comment about the club shooting, according to Jake Wark, spokesman for District Attorney Dan Conley.

While Bradley never admitted to Florida police who shot him, he filed a civil lawsuit against the tight end after the resulting injuries cost him his eye. Now, a hearing for the Bradley shooting is set for May 21, but prosecutors are filing a motion to join the charges with the Abreu and Furtado case.

If the courts allow the combining of both cases, Hernandez will face a litany of charges, which include witness intimidation, “two counts of first-degree murder, three counts of armed assault with intent to commit murder, one count of assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon and one count of unlawful possession of a firearm,” according to Fox Sports.
