Normally being 25th in the AP College basketball poll isn't something to celebrate. But for the Missouri women's basketball program, it's an accomplishment. The Tigers re-entered the rankings this week, where they haven't been since January 2006. "I think it's important you celebrate the mini victories," coach Robin Pingeton told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. "It's all part of the process. We worked really hard I think over last several years, to have a chance to make history this year. Going (11-0) in the non-con, that was one of the milestones we celebrated. We weren't satisfied. It's about big picture, not one week, not 10 weeks, we know what it looks like." The Tigers beat Texas State on Monday night to move to 12-0. There are eight other undefeated programs in the nation; two of them–South Carolina and Kentucky–share the SEC with Missouri. But even with the strong start behind them and several big games on the horizon, Pingeton insists that Mizzou's focus is locked on one goal: the postseason. "We know where we want to be selection show Monday," Pingeton said. "It's a pretty mature group that can handle it and will handle it. We're really excited but long way from being satisfied." #Mizzou (12-0) ties 2nd-longest winning streak in program history!
