Los Angeles Rams' COO Kevin Demoff confirmed Monday that the brand new logo released in March will be donned by the team starting next season despite backlash from former Rams' Hall of Fame running back Eric Dickerson and fans on social media. Demoff has been working on the new logo for the last two years and promised to read mean tweets if the Rams' telethon with KABC, a local Los Angeles ABC partner, raised more than $2 million for coronavirus (COVID-19) relief. The effort helped raise over $2.2 million, so Demoff honored his promise and read negative tweets about the Rams' logo alteration in a video posted on his Twitter feed (below). Of the nine tweets read by Demoff, one user commented, "This is actually embarrassing. Looks like some freshman college students in Graphic Design 101 made it in about 6 minutes." Another wrote, "There's a Rams logo debate? What's it between? Trash and hot garbage?" Perhaps the most comical remark of the segment was from a fan who tweeted, "If you're low on toilet paper, don't worry. You can get it now on NFL shop. #ramslogo" Demoff then tweeted a statement in reference to the organization's logo selection. "While it isn't always the easiest to hear, we value the commentary you have provided on the logo & colors," Demoff said. "We are excited about the future of our team, our brand & our stadium, but recognize we can always get better through feedback and engagement and appreciate your passion." Following the initial release of the logo, Dickerson said he was "angry" with the choice and vowed to meet with ownership to voice his frustration. On Sunday he released a snippet of his conversation with Rams' executives that read, "I spoke with the Rams front office on behalf of our great fans and former players. Unfortunately, the front office is set on their new logos. I made our feelings crystal clear...why change the best logo in the NFL?" The March release of the logo is part of a full uniform change that will be revealed this spring as they move into their new home next season at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, ESPN reported.
